Shaker boxes are the most iconic expressions of Shaker craftsmanship—simple, functional, and beautifully made. Each box is formed from thin, steam-bent bands of wood secured with the Shakers’ signature “swallowtail” joints, then fitted with a precisely carved lid. Designed for everyday use, they were used to store everything from seeds and spices to sewing notions.
