"Robin" Socks by This Night
Kate T. Williamson is inspired by the colors and patterns of Japan, where she studied art. The name "This Night" comes from a tenth-century Japanese poem:
If only I could show them to someone who knows,
this moon, these flowers, this night that should not be wasted.
Her hometown of Reading, PA, was once a thriving hosiery center, and Williamson worked with the talented people at the last remaining sock knitting mill left there to develop her perfect sock: knit with US-grown ringspun cotton (with touch of lycra for a cozy fit), a comfortable band, flat toe seams, and interesting designs in elegant colors. When the hometown mill was shut down, Williamson transferred production to a mill in North Carolina.
To support the communities where she lives and works, Williamson donates a percentage of proceeds to the Olivet Boys & Girls Club of Reading, PA, and the Catawba County Partnership for Children in North Carolina.
"Robin" socks are 81% cotton, 16% nylon and 3% lycra. Fits women's shoe sizes 4 - 10 1/2
